Privacy policy
Effective 2026-11-26. Applies to the Horde Road iPhone app and horderoad.com.
Short version: Horde Road has no ads and no tracking. We collect only what we need to run the daily challenge, ranks and friends. You can delete it all inside the app.
Who we are
Horde Road is made by 930 Labs, a solo developer. Contact: [email protected].
What stays on your phone
Your game progress, coins, upgrades and settings are saved on your device. The game works offline.
What we store on our server
The first time the game needs the internet (for example, to send a daily score), it asks our server to create an anonymous player account. We store:
- Account: a random player ID, a friend code (like HR-7K2Q), and when the account was made. The app keeps a secret sign-in token. We store only a one-way hash of it, never the token.
- Profile: your display name (handle) and avatar. The server first gives you a random name. If you change it, we store the name you choose. Do not use a real name.
- Gameplay results: level results (level, win or loss, time, gold, soldiers left), daily challenge results (score, medals, upgrades used), and the steering and firing inputs of daily runs so we can check scores are fair.
- Run reports: a summary of finished runs, plus the app version and build number. We use them to balance the game. Players never see them.
- Social: friendships, blocks, and reports you send about other players, with your reason.
Your handle, avatar, daily score and highest level can be seen by your friends and, for the handle, avatar and daily score, on the daily ranks.
What we do not collect
- No name, email, phone number or address.
- No device ID, advertising ID (IDFA) or location.
- No ads, and no third-party analytics or tracking tools in the app.
- No payment details. Apple handles the purchase and we never see your card.
IP addresses
Your IP address is used in server memory to limit how fast one device can send requests. It is not saved in our database.
Notifications
If you allow them, the app schedules reminders on your phone. These are local notifications. We do not send push notifications from a server.
Where it is kept
Server data is kept on servers run by 930 Labs. We do not sell it or share it with advertisers.
Your choices
- Delete your account: in the app, go to Settings and choose delete account. This removes your account and all of the data above that is linked to it.
- Report or block a player: from the ranks or friends list in the app.
- Questions or requests: email [email protected].
Children
Horde Road is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child gave us data, email us and we will delete it.
